COVID-19 CHILDCARE UPDATE: Dear Parents: We understand that many of you may have questions regarding preschool and summer programming for your child(ren). As we await
guidance from the Dept. of Early Education & Care (our governing licensing agency), to determine if we can hold preschool/summer programming and what the protocols will be, we can tell
you the following: We have been told that we are unable to use South Hadley Public Schools as an optional home base; therefore, we will be serving all community children at our
Y’s Pine Street location at a reduced capacity. Unfortunately, summer will look very different than it has in the past in regards to field trips, as they will most likely not be
allowed. We have also been advised to shorten the program hours, which we are in the process of revising, knowing that the outcome will not suit every parent’s needs.
There are many questions at our end that still need to be answered, and we assure you that as soon as we have the information, we will most certainly pass it along to you. In the
meantime, we hope you and your family continue to stay healthy.
Did you know that the Greater Holyoke YMCA offers both full AND half day preschool programs? Located on Appleton Street in Holyoke, our Y-Kids Preschool offers children the early education
they need and deserve.
Our Y-Kids Preschool has the unique opportunity to use the facilities that the Greater Holyoke YMCA has to offer, allowing us to teach children beyond the classroom.
The program is for 3-5 year old children, and supports the Early Learning Initiative of the Holyoke Public Schools. Also, the program runs year-round.
Vouchers are accepted through the Y-Kids Preschool, and financial assistance is available. For additional information or forms, please contact our Preschool Director, Mariah Levine,
at email@example.com or at (413) 533-3331.
